Megane RRP is £36k at the low end according to a quick Google and that’s £799, so I don’t know why you think otherwise, especially when Onto never get the base spec it seems.

They usually choose the model just below the top spec.

Something I’ve noticed other do too, I would think there to be a market in the lower specs and would likely allow more people to join in testing or using EVs.

The Astra could be a cheap car, the way Stellantis are currently working with Dealers there may be plenty of Astra EV’s abandoned in ports, and cancelled orders…
