Wow. Not worth using them

At that price, you could run a decent diesel at less than half the cost per mile

EV uptake is bound to slow with all this world madness going on.

Made my day after reading the above to then get email from Octopus to renew my Go tariff. Phew thank goodness I can home charge, I feel for those that can’t and makes sense to stick with ONTO for the inclusive charging.:older_man:

EDIT. Only just noticed the free Β£10 on my Electroverse (Juice) card.

At those rates you may have to become nocturnal

Oxymoron!

(Oops - I refer to the phrase… NOT the poster! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:)

Well … … for the sake of the pace of implementation of more public charging, it’s not the worst thing that could happen.

And, of course, CPOs are pretty much boxed into having to charge some sort of premium on their already expensive supply to fund their expansion. :face_with_monocle: Tough call all round…

I had a Ford Galaxy (Titanium X Spec), that was a diesel and a very decent car - it got 55mpg all day long.

I’d call that a decent diesel compared to some of the skips on wheels that blow out thick black clouds when joining a motorway.

As long as it’s euro5 or later you shouldn’t see black clouds due to the DPF fitted and the EGR systems in place.

It was an E5 setup (no adblue) - but no smoke and no additives.

I had an Insignia before jumping on the Onto bandwagon, that car was excellent on fuel. Back before the backside fell out of the fuel pricing, I’d get to Glasgow and back for about Β£40 in a 2L. I don’t really know much about ICE cars other than what MPG is good or bad but it would cost double in the petrol Mini One I had before that, at least.

You are quite lucky you can charge at home. For a year I’m protected with Osprey. Managed to get a deal when I bought the MG ZS. They gave discounted rates. I only pay 32p so it still works out fairly cheap. Otherwise, bonnet and electric juice cards are good. I’ll have to look for something next year now. For now I’m still fine.
