Noticed on ZapMap newsletter that Osprey have just opened a new hub on the A127 junction with the A128 near Brentwood (eastbound exit from A127).
Nicely laid out facility with great access to chargers.

Interesting design, but I still don’t understand why they are not covered across the bays and in solar PV of course, the type that are see through so it’s light and airy underneath.
Can’t see any obvious low level lighting either.
Looks good though and next to a pub, Starbucks, Travelodge if I’m not mistaken.

I’ve had a chat with Ian and some of his team. reading between the lines, they’ve had a few issues in getting this site up and running. Plus, that’s not the end of the design, it seems these will get an extension.
Otherwise not all sites lend themselves to solar, for various reasons.
I have visited and the lighting looks pretty good, but not seen it after dark properly yet.
