List of charger networks for a noobie?

Hi, I’ve just joined and am expecting delivery of a Zoe GT on the 26th all being well.

I’m setting up ZapMap with the various charger networks, is there a comprehensive list of them all somewhere?

cheers,

Graham.

I’m only in my third month with EVs, but I have also found it useful to have:

Wattsup - pictorially “easier” than Zap-Map, especially where it comes to the networks where Wattsup has availability linked - both locally and for longer journeys. I think they’re aiming to get better availability coverage too.

Shell, Instavolt and BP apps - to be (slightly) more certain about availability - but I don’t bother with trying to set up accounts, despite how they each will probably try and nag you to do so (and remember you’re only getting an RFID as temporarily as the car itself and it looks like a right pain to try and unassociate cards from app…)

Osprey and Ionity are in different apps too…… so you then end up with quite a collection, I’m afraid!

Annoyingly, Shell especially, some don’t even seem to know their own charger’s availability - I have had three months of my local Shell (about 1½ miles away) being “status unknown” in it’s own app

I believe Geniepoint and Revive are now on the Shell card.

Genie definitely are. I use one of my locals from time to time.

There’s a great charging hub at the new Morrisons near Clacton on Sea. Branded Genie Point, it didn’t accept my Shell Card and still doesn’t appear on the Shell app.

Having much luck with Revive? tried it for the first time last week at horfield sports centre, worked fine with the shell RFID but today it stated the card was not authorised. Tried both fast charger units and had same message. The card itself is ok as used it with MFG charger on wednesday.

Just thinking laterally…

As you will be aware, I rarely slum it at chargers from places like Morrisons*, and when I was at Porsche yesterday I had cause to telephone their delightful support team… I can picture them prone on their chaises-longue being fed grapes, can’t you….

…no, thing is, I got there just as their system had thrown a wobbly and wasn’t talking with other cards providers (i.e. Shell) …

Have you tried (the dreaded) Customer Services?

(* actually I must slum it there about once every two-three weeks now…)

Morrisons at Little Clacton is no slum…as this video shows. Genie Point Customer service were unable to help at the time and replied to a subsequent email saying they were looking into why these chargers don’t accept the Shell Card.

Oh alright…. They’ve got Alpitronics. You’ve swayed me.

Eh!?
